Website use and Liability

The website is owned and operated by Bespoke Backdrops. Your use of and access to the website is subject to these Terms and Conditions, including the Privacy Policy.

All material published on the website is “as is” and we try to be as accurate as possible, but we make no warranties, whether express or implied, regarding its accuracy.

Bespoke Backdrops may at any time reserve the right to make changes to or remove parts of this website without prior notice, updated dates will be displayed on the website.

Advertised prices are subject to change without prior notification.

Bespoke Backdrops makes no representation or warranty that the operation of the Website will be uninterrupted and/or error free, that defects will be corrected or that the Website (or the server that makes it available) will be free of viruses or bugs. It is a matter for you to ensure that your own equipment is protected from viruses or other external factors.
Bookings, Deposits and Balances

The hirer must be at least 18 years of age.

To make a booking first complete a Request Form from our website www.bespokebackdrops.org.uk

Bespoke Backdrops will then send an email with your Hire Contract to sign and how to pay your £50 non-refundable deposit.

Payment of your deposit can be made by Bank Transfer or card payment via the link we send you.

A booking is only secured once you, the customer, has received a Booking Confirmation email from Bespoke Backdrops, on our receival of your deposit and your signed Hire Contract. All correspondence will be written in English.

Bespoke Backdrops reserves the right to refuse any booking requests at their discretion.

A £50 security deposit is required with all bookings. This will be paid at the same time as the final balance. The booking will not go ahead without this security deposit. Your security deposit will be refunded within 24hrs after hire, once there is a check that there is no damage or loss to the flower backdrop or equipment. The client is responsible for the cost to repair or replace damaged items or any loss of rental due to the damage. This will initially be deducted from the deposit.

The balance of your hire (including security deposit) will be due 1 week before your event, by cleared funds. If full payment is not made within this time, then Bespoke Backdrops reserves the right to cancel the hire agreement and you will lose the booking deposit.

By placing an order with us it is deemed that the customer has read, understood, and fully agrees to and is bound by the terms and conditions of the hire.
Cancellations

If the customer cancels their booking the £50 deposit is non-refundable.

If the customer cancels the booking 48 hours before the hire time then there will be a loss of 100% of the hire fee.

Bespoke Backdrops will try to accommodate a change of date that is suitable to both the customer and the availability of Bespoke Backdrops.
Event Location

The Backdrops require a flat surface for it to stand safely. Please ensure this is available.

It is the customers responsibility to check with the venue they accept our hire equipment.

It is the customers responsibility to measure their space accordingly before making a booking with us. All the relevant sizes and information about our stands are available on each Backdrop and FAQ page on the website. If we arrive and cannot set up due to lack of space and cannot adapt the position safely then the customer will lose their deposit and 100% of their rental payment.

Please advise if there is vehicle parking available or any circumstances that would make setting up more time consuming e.g. Many stairs, long distance from unloading area to your venue etc. We run a timed process for setting up so would need to know of any possible hinders.

An electrical socket will be required nearby for the fairy lights.

If you have something to attach to the backdrop i.e. a lightweight sign, then please have this available for our staff to do for you.

Once we have completed our set, it must not be moved or adjusted.
Timings
-
Our set can take up to 1 hour to complete so access to the venue will be required before your event begins.

The hire start time will begin from times arranged in the booking. If Bespoke Backdrops are not ready to commence at the agreed time due to our fault, then we will extend the hire time (venue permitting), or due to unforeseen circumstances out with our control or your event/venue overrunning, the hire will still end as per agreed at time of booking.

Bespoke Backdrops cannot be held responsible for any circumstances that may prevent us from attending your event; these may include but are not limited to severe weather conditions, traffic delays, breakdown of our vehicles, sickness, or equipment failure. In the case we cannot attend or fulfil your hire due to events beyond our control, we will contact you and the venue as soon as possible. In these circumstances we will refund all monies paid including deposit.
Equipment

Smoking is not permitted near any of our backdrops.

Bespoke Backdrops are responsible for providing, setting up and taking down of the equipment.

The equipment must be returned in the condition they arrived in. Please be respectful and do not pull, remove or cut anything from the flower backdrops or climb/swing/push/pull on any parts of the frame or lights.

If the customer knows of any damage or problems during their hire they will inform Bespoke Backdrops immediately by calling 0131 210 0204

Unless agreed, hired equipment is for indoor use only.

We reserve the right to amend or alter any product specification without prior notice.

In the event of previous hire damage or loss of equipment, Bespoke Backdrops will notify you immediately and offer as substitute.

Bespoke Backdrops accept no liability for any damage of personal property or any injury arising from the use of the hired equipment.
All other Terms and Conditions

If any clause is found to be unenforceable or illegal, then only that clause is deleted or amended to the extent necessary to make the rest of the contract enforceable.

The governing law that Bespoke Backdrops is compliant with is Scots Law.
